Service Description

The NHS Greater Manchester Community Urgent Eye Care Service (CUES) provides urgent assessment, treatment or referral for sudden onset eye problems such as flashes, floaters, vision loss or other minor eye injuries. This service is available in all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester. If you have problems wit your eyes, you should first contact your regular optician. If this is not possible or they are not a provide of the CUES scheme then do not hesitate to call us and book in. This service is available to anyone registered with a local GP. The service is for both adults and children; there is no age limit on this service. Chill seen under the age of 16 who attend the service must be accompanied to their appointment by a responsible adult. Please be advised this is NOT an eye test. Also if you have a major eye condition that is being regularly monitored by your optometrist or hospital eye service, this will not be covered by this scheme, for example, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma.
